Positioning system

Bestech has released the PSE 37_/39_-14 positioning system solution for positioning auxiliary and positioning axes.

It does this by converting a digital positioning signal into an angle of rotation. The system consists of a motor, gear, power amplifier, control electronics, absolute measuring system and a bus interface. The integrated absolute measuring system eliminates the need for a reference run.

Connecting to a bus system simplifies the wiring. A hollow shaft with adjustable collar makes assembly simple. The system is particularly suitable for automatically adjusting the positions of filling and packing machines in the pharmaceutical and food industries.

Its stainless steel housing makes it suitable for use in clean rooms or for sterile filling processes. The positioning system’s high protection class (IP68) also allows for cleaning with aggressive cleansers.

There are CAN-Open/DS301, Profibus DP or DeviceNet data interfaces available and they position to an accuracy of 0.9° and operate in temperatures up to 45 °C. This positioning system won an Initiative Mittelstand industry award for drive technology.
