The Agilent 83623B is a high-resolution, high-power swept signal source suitable for applications requiring the high performance and accuracy of a synthesised source and the speed and versatility of a sweep oscillator.

Indirect synthesis is used to achieve spectral purity with low single sideband phase noise. Pulse, amplitude and frequency modulation facilities are included giving the instrument a wider range of application.

Frequency range is from 0.01 to 20 GHz and with the included option 008 the resolution is 1 Hz. Calibrated output power is up to +17 dBm and with the included option 001 step attenuator the minimum output power is -110 dBm.

SSB phase noise is less than -80 dBc at 10 GHz and 10 Hz offset. Harmonics are typically less than -50 dBc at 20 GHz.

The generator is available for short- or long-term hire.
