Halytech has released a utility meter monitoring system suitable for water, gas, electricity and other types of meters.
Wireless transmitters are attached to individual meters and multiple transmitters send their information to a single Spider SMS data logger/communications device. Transmitters can be hundreds of metres from the data logger and the link does not rely on line of sight as communications are possible through multiple concrete walls and floors.
Each transmitter is powered by an internal battery with a service life of up to 10 years.
The single box data logger includes all software, hardware and a mobile phone module (both GSM and NextG types are available). It offers various options for data download including browser, SMS, email, FTP and more. The system requires no additional software.
