NTI's range of Minstrument handheld audio test systems has been expanded with the release of the MiniLink, a USB communications interface for the ML1 and DL1 audio analysers.

The package is fully field-retrofitable and supplied with a software package which adds even further flexibility to the ML1 'Minilyzer' and DL1 'Digilyzer'.

The Minilyzer is a professional analog audio analyser offering extensive measurement tools in a handheld package. When combined with the matching MR1 Minirator analog generator, the two units form a versatile audio test system which can be stored in two pockets.

The DL1 is a dedicated tool for in-depth analysis of digital audio signal streams. It handles all main digital formats including AES/EBU, S/PDIF, ADAT and TOS-LINK plus sampling frequencies up to 96 kHz.

Digital signals are monitored at many points simultaneously to make fault finding and debugging easy while an event logger allows long-term monitoring for intermittent faults.

The addition of the MiniLink option to the ML1 or DL1 adds capabilities such as: transfer and storage of critical data for off-site analysis and archiving; downloading of data and screenshots from the PC to the ML1/DL1 flash memory; printing or copying of screenshots; logging of online measurement data to the PC for storage as ASCII files; full-screen and multi-screen visualisations of the ML1/DL1 display information.
