Alpha Kilo has added a 3.3 V input version to the 1 W DC-DC converter range C&D Technologies (formerly known as Newport Components). The new converter offers dual 3.3 or 5 V output at 1 W.
The NKE series of converters address the increasing global demand for more compact conversion devices with higher electrical specifications. NKE devices are up to 36% smaller than other currently available 1 W converters yet offer higher isolation ratings, lower output ripple and improved temperature performance at full load.
Delivering significant PCB space savings in distributed power architectures, the converters are supplied in sub-miniature SIP packages with SIP4 pinout.
Important features, in addition to reduced size, include industrial temperature rating from -40 to +85°C with no derating and 3 kV isolation. 5 and 12 V input options are available in addition to the new 3.3 V version.
