Advantech has released a fanless Pentium III EBX single board computer.

The PCM-9572F has a Pentium III 500 MHz processor for data/graphics and the low power of the processor gives good reliability.

It has the functionality of being a multimedia ready embedded SBC that includes TV-out and DVD support, or a point-of-sale capable control board with eight digital I/Os and cash drawer support, or a mini-server or gateway device.

With the device's PC/104-plus socket, multiple high-speed PCI sockets are always available as are the off-the-shelf add-on PC/104 modules.

By adding a PC/104-plus ethernet module, two additional LAN ports can be added.

The board includes all the features to empower multiple application needs.

The PCM-9572F can operate without a fan at temperatures up to 60°C (140°F) and typically consumes fewer than 16 W (with Pentium III 500 MHz and 64 MB DRAM). This SBC includes a VGA/LCD controller that supports dual 24-bit TFT LCD or one 48-bit TFT LCD, a PCI audio interface, a PCI ethernet interface, and eight digital inputs and outputs.

It also supports wake on LAN, modem.
