The Telum NPA-3804 is a modular package designed to meet performance and thermal requirements with secure high-speed connectivity and complex packet processing at wire speed performance.

Computer-intensive tasks are off-loaded from host CPUs keeping line rates high and enabling content-aware packet processing for a variety of applications such as network address translation (NAT), traffic policing management, SSL security, gateway routing and call session management.

The processor is available with either an 8- or 12-core Cavium Octeon multi-core MIPS64 processor at 500 MHz with 512 or 1000 MB high-speed DDR packet memory.

The module is available with four front panel or rear I/O 1000BaseT copper or 1000BaseSX fibre ports. It is RoHS-compliant.
