The Schmersal safety monitoring modules are suitable for monitoring guard door, emergency stop, fail-safe standstill and timing systems, for tactile and opto-electronic safety equipment and twin valves on press controls.

Input expanders are available to monitor a number of guard doors. Output expanders provide more contacts when many enabling paths are needed. Depending on the external circuit arrangements, the protection system can be secured up to control category 4 to EN 954-1.

AZR 31 S 1 and FWS range standstill monitors are for secure registration of machine standstill and control of safety solenoid interlocks on sliding, hinged or removable guard doors.

Depending on the external circuit arrangements, the protection system can be secured to the requirements of category 4 to EN 954-1 in combination with an AES or AZR range safety-monitoring module.

The fail-safe delay timer serves for the secure measurement of a preset timer. The enabling signal for the control system, which for example makes it possible to open a guard door, is only given when the preset time has elapsed.

The expander is suitable for protecting machines and plants with up to four guard doors in combination with an AES guard door monitor. AZR range output expanders are for the secure evaluation of emergency stop circuits to category 0 to 1 to EN 60204-1.
