Altera has announced synthesis and simulation tools from third party EDA vendors that support Altera's newest architectures - the APEX 20KC device family and the Excalibur embedded processor which incorporate the ARM-based and MIPS-based embedded processor cores.
These new versions provided by Mentor Graphics, Synplicity and Synopsys are optimised to work with Altera's Quartus II development software.
