The Mechatronic Systems P10 is a desktop, automatic, pick and place machine for SMT component assembly. Targeting the prototyping and small batch assembly market, the product can handle SMD sizes from 0402 to 25 x 25 mm in strip, reel, tube or tray packaging.

Using a smart vision non-contact optical alignment system, the unit achieves a resolution of 8 µm and can place SMDs with pitch as low as 0.4 mm with an accuracy of ±30 µm. The product will handle standard and fine pitch components including BGA, μBGA, CSP, QFN and SMD LED packages.

Additional machine features include: automatic fiducial recognition; component placement speed of up to 1000 cph; an automatic dispensing head with a dispense rate of up to 6000 cph; feeder capacity of up to 80 x 8 mm strip feeders; a maximum PCB placement area of 400 x 500 mm; and automatic nozzle change (six nozzles). 

Intended for desktop mount operation, the product weighs 90 kg and has a power consumption of only 350 W. Programming is easy via a graphical user interface environment while pick and place and dispensing file editing is handled by the CAD and Gerber Editors included in the system. Mechatronics P&P software tools run under the Windows operating system.
