Freescale Freedom Kinetis development board

The Freescale Freedom K64F development platform, which adds to the portfolio of over 7000 development kits at element14, features a Kinetis K64 series microcontroller, built on the ARM Cortex-M4 core.

The development platform, which can be used to evaluate the K64, K63 and K24 Kinetis K devices, is suitable for developing applications which require high memory density, low power and optimised integration, such as consumer, metering, building and home automation, point of sale and secure applications, factory automation, and portable instrumentation.

The board features a MK64FN1M0VLL12, which boasts a maximum operating frequency of 120 MHz, 1 MB of flash, 256 KB RAM, a full-speed USB controller, Ethernet controller, Secure Digital Host controller and many analog and digital peripherals.

The hardware is form-factor compatible with the Arduino R3 pin layout, providing a broad range of expansion board options. The board also includes a 3-axis digital accelerometer, magnetometer, tri-colour LED, SDHC, Ethernet and headers for adding Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz RF Transceiver module capability.
