The industrial power corruptor (IPC) from Power Standards Laboratories is for testing the performance of electrical devices including protection gear, industrial plant, process and machine control instrumentation and systems etc, under various conditions of power quality.

It is interposed between a source of clean power and the device to be tested, adding carefully calibrated voltage sags, swells and interruptions.

The IPC can be connected to single-phase and three-phase power using voltages from 100 to 480 and with line currents to 200 A for mains power frequencies of 50 and 60 Hz.

The device will generate true phase-to-phase voltage sags and swells (without a neutral being required), from 0 to 125% of nominal, from 200 µs to 30 s as well as voltage sags and swells with respect to a neutral conductor.

The built-in data acquisition system includes a 28-channel digital ’scope and optionally a complete harmonic and power flow analyser. The IPC is well suited to current inrush testing and standards compliance, including SEMI F47, IEC 61000-4-11, 61000-4-34, CBEMA, ITIC, IEEE-1100 and more.
