Extruded aluminium instrument cases

The 1455 general purpose, the 1457 IP66 sealed and the 1457 IP54 and RFI screened family of rugged extruded aluminium instrument cases from Hammond Electronics are primarily designed to house PCBs, mounted horizontally into internal slots in the body of the case.

They are available in silver or black anodised finish with either a flanged or plain flat aluminium panel or a one-piece moulded black, red or yellow ABS or translucent red or blue polycarbonate plastic panel.

There are 26 sizes in the 1455 family, ranging from 80 x 54 x 23 to 220 x 165 x 52 mm; the larger sizes have a removable cover on the case body to allow access to the PCB in situ; they are designed to accept a standard 100 x 160 or 100 x 220 mm extended Eurocard.

The 1457 Series are available in six sizes; the largest will house a standard 100 x 160 mm Eurocard.
