Hammond 1590K zinc die-cast enclosure range

The 1590K zinc die-cast enclosures have been introduced for use in applications where the accidental generation of sparks is potentially dangerous. The family initially consists of three heavy-duty enclosures, which, ranging from 112 x 62 x 31 mm to 188 x 120 x 56 mm in size, are suitable for mounting PCBs, switches, terminations and other components that require high levels of physical protection against shock and vibration.

Die-cast in zinc alloy, the units are a robust, non-sparking enclosure for delicate equipment.

Zinc offers good corrosion resistance and as standard the enclosures are supplied in a natural finish. Painted or plated finishes can be added. The units feature lap joint construction between the lid and base to provide IP54 sealing against the ingress of dust and water.

The lid is secured by four stainless steel machine screws (six on the largest size) into factory-tapped holes, allowing repeated openings and closings.
