High-performance and pre-wired 9 V insulated battery straps are designed to connect most batteries in series or in parallel.
They are made of moulded polyethylene or rigid fibre and incorporate insulators and phosphor bronze or spring steel, nickel-plated, snap-on connectors.
Available in T or I configurations, the straps provide greater dependability while featuring soldered-in #26 AWG red and black wire leads; three lengths — 101.6, 152.4 and 203.2 mm — each vinyl covered; and 101.6, 165 and 203.2 mm each fibre covered.
Shielded types which reduce short circuit and contact tampering potential, are also available.
The company’s Economy group features a similar design and is available in T or I configurations. Fully insulated, these have brass, nickel-plated contacts with a moulded ABS or vinyl covered bases. Wire lengths are 101.6, 152.4 or 203.2 mm. Lead lengths are in red and black.
The third style (PN 227) is a pre-wired ‘dual’ battery strap which connects 9 V batteries in parallel. These are manufactured with fibre bases and have steel, nickel-plated contacts. Featured are pre-tinned 22 AWG red and black leads; and wire lengths of 178 mm, soldered in for reliability.
