Keystone miniature lithium button cell retainer

A miniature lithium button cell retainer, suitable for high-density PCB packaging, has expanded Keystone’s range of surface-mount battery retainers for SMT applications.

Designed especially for miniature electronics such as watches, hearing aids, calculators, keyless door entry fobs, memory backup, small toys and other applications, the retainers are engineered with reliable spring tension to ensure low contact resistance while firmly securing the battery within the retainer.

The surface-mount retainer accepts all MLA14 micro lithium batteries and is compatible with all soldering and reflow operations. Retainers are manufactured from phosphor bronze with solder tails outside the retainer body which facilitates visual inspection of the solder joints.

The retainers are available with gold plating to accommodate both lead-free and low-temperature reflow soldering.
