Insotec Australia supplies precision machined components produced to exacting quality standards that are used in a wide range of industries, including ticketing, communication, medical, aerospace and industrial equipment.

Where required, we can produce parts with tolerances of 0.01 mm and commonly produce with tolerances of 0.025 to 0.05 mm.

Recent developments include a polishing process for our copper heatsinks that enhances the surface finish and also has proven to improve the adhesion between the heatsink and PCB.

The machined parts are produced ready for assembly and where required can be supplied as sub assemblies. This aids lowering production costs by reducing polishing, finishing and fitting times, which helps to achieve shorter leadtimes.

In addition, the company offers a range of surface treatments such as electroless nickel or gold, electrolytic nickel or gold, anodising, copper, silver, tin, anodising, passivation and other options.

The materials we regularly use in production range from stainless steel, copper, brass and aluminum to nylons, rubber, polycarbonate and delrin. We also produce precision parts made from Invar, Kovar, Inco series, and other speciality metals.

Machinery at the production facilities include: automatic lathes; CNC lathes; CNC milling machines; CNC twist drill groove grinding machines; precision grinding machines; all-purpose tool grinders; hob shovel grinding machines; screw lathes; boring machines; large-scale tool microscopes and a sub-miniature sclerometer.

To complement our precision machined components, we also offer custom metal-stamped components. These range from simple blanked parts through to complex progressive metal stamping, involving a number of processes such as bending, deep drawing, wireforming and multislide stamping.
