Friday, 22 November, 2013 | Supplied by: Apex Tool Group

The WPA2 butane-powered soldering tool is for portable applications where 240 V power is either not available or convenient. The push-button piezo ignition uses its own energy to create a spark and light the torch.

The product is suitable for toolkits in boats, motorcycles and recreational vehicles. The butane tank will last for 3 h of continuous soldering and the replacement Weller filtered butane gas BR200 is also available.

The unit comes in a sturdy metal case complete with a WPT-2 2 mm chisel soldering tip and a WHC-52 4.9 mm diameter hot blow tip for heat shrinking.
