A new electronics event for Singapore

The inaugural CETIAsia (Customer, Electronics, Technology and Innovation) conference and exhibition will be held at The Singapore EXPO from 30 November to 2 December 2016. It has been organised by SETIO, the Singapore electronics association, and ACE Corporation, which specialises in bringing innovative technologies to market.

Concentrating on high value-add opportunities in the consumer technology industry, the event intends to showcase the full breadth and depth of innovation in the Asian marketplace. Key global businesses, SMEs, start-ups and financial institutions will be participating, looking to grow and reinforce their brands by showcasing the latest products and technologies.

The exhibition will feature a Transportation Technology showcase, which will give an idea of how technology innovation and integration work together in sustainable environments. Other technologies on display will include the IoT (including smart homes and offices), the latest in 3D printing materials, alternative energy and advanced software, sensors and robotics.

There will also be an Australian presence, with Electronics Industry Development Adelaide (EIDA) making sure that Adelaide electronics companies are represented at the event. Amongst a score of eminent speakers are Professor Göran Roos of the Economic Board of South Australia and Donald Kay, chairman of EIDA.

Day 1 of the event features the 21st World Electronics Forum (WEF), in which the global representative bodies of the electronics industry will report on market trends, opportunities and headwinds in their industry. Days 2 and 3 cover the Technology Investment Conference, with day 2 also featuring a networking dinner. The exhibition runs on all three days.

The event is aimed at investors, technopreneurs, venture capitalists and those with innovative solutions. Australian companies wishing to exhibit, attend the WEF or access business matching can contact EIDA. For visitor registrations and details, see www.cetiasia.com.
