Accolade for element14

element14 (formerly Farnell) has been awarded the Outstanding Performance for Distributor award from FCI for the second year running at the annual FCI Electronics Asia Pacific Distribution conference in Lijiang, China.

The award recognises the company’s achievements for product inventory, customer services and sales performance.

The company first won the FCI Outstanding Performance - Fastest Growing Distributor Award in 2010 which acknowledged the firm’s rapid growth and enhanced portfolio of solutions to the design engineering community in the Asia-Pacific region for 2009.

element14 emerged as the winner due to the firm providing end-to-end solutions for design, maintenance and repair engineers and purchasing professionals. It is also the only multichannel distributor to win the award this year.

According to the research firm Bishop and Associates, connector sales in Asia-Pacific grew 40% in the last year. To meet this demand for high-performance connectors in the region, element14 has introduced a wide range of connectivity solutions to its users that includes components from FCI.

Over 1300 FCI connectors are stocked in regional inventory with next-day delivery in most of Asia-Pacific and 3000 other FCI connectivity solutions available via its global inventory.
