B&R/Hager reach 50
B&R and Hager this year celebrate their 50th anniversaries. They were independently founded in 1955, on opposite sides of the world. In Australia, both companies came together 11 years ago to form the joint venture company Hager B&R.
Functions have been held in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney to mark the anniversary. The Brisbane function coincided with the official opening of B&R's head office/factory extension in Heathwood, the launch of B&R's Ausrack Plus range of 19" racking cabinets and the launch of Hager's 'hagerblu' bakelite range.
The family owners Dick and Ken Bridges and Chris Bridges-Taylor from B&R were joined by Daniel, Phillip and Peter Hager from the Hager group, who had travelled from Europe to specifically attend the celebrations.
