Cabac reaches milestone
Cabac, an Australian-owned company with headquarters in Sydney, has recently celebrated 21 years of meeting the needs of the electrical installation industry.
Cabac's laboratory is NATA accredited, and the company's agents and affiliates operate throughout the Asia-Pacific region. It is a division of Cable Accessories (Australia) Pty Ltd.
In 1982 electrical supply companies operated like old-fashioned grocery stores with erratic shelving, dusty counters and long waits for customers. Cabac, however focused on effective merchandising, bringing products out onto the floors and a policy of having no minimum orders. For several years, Cabac even had a mobile replenishment service, taking products out to customers in vans.
Although the van-delivery days are gone, Cabac maintains its standards of reliability with order-fill rates running at 98-99%,, says managing director, Gordon Ketelbey.
Cabac is currently developing an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) B2B system.
