Call for abstracts for Solar 2014 Scientific Conference
The Australian Solar Council is inviting abstracts for the Solar 2014 Scientific Conference to be held on 8/9 May 2014 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The conference brings together and highlights the latest achievements by Australian research scientists and engineers across all aspects of solar energy, energy efficiency and other renewables.
All abstracts submitted and accepted by registered attendees will be available with the final program. Full papers should be submitted for peer review, which will be carried out according to HERDC guidelines. Those accepted will be published in the proceedings with an ISBN number. From these the technical committee will nominate select papers for publication in a special edition of the society’s international journal Solar Energy. Non-peer-reviewed papers linked to presentations will also be made available separately. Registrants will have open access to all proceedings papers.
Papers addressing the following topics are sought: solar photovoltaics (PV) - including system design, new cell developments, performance, CPV, and reliability studies; solar thermal - CSP as well as SWH and SAH, low-grade process heat for industry, TPV and thermoelectric power from solar and general waste heat; solar-produced fuels, solar waste treatment; built environment, sustainable design, solar-controlled daylighting; energy efficiency, new cooling technologies, reducing peak demand; economics and public policy; grid integration and remote power systems, storage; other renewables - including wind, biomass, geothermal, wave/tidal and waste methane recovery.
