Chinese facility up and running
Kingston Technology's manufacturing subsidiary, Kingston Technology Electronics Co Ltd, has opened its new China manufacturing facility.
The expansion increases the China operation from producing 1.5 million memory modules to five million modules a month.
Additional global growth is planned with Kingston facilities in the US and Taiwan expanding and manufacturing will continue in Malaysia.
Equipped with SMT assembly lines and testing equipment, the plant is in Shanghai's Pudong 'Silicon Harbor', China's centre for high-tech business operations.
Kingston relocated from its original 4650 m2 plant to the nearby facility which is about 23,225 m2 and includes an option for an additional 13,935 m2 for future expansion.
