congatec AG opens office in Australia
congatec AG has widened its sales presence in Australia and New Zealand with the opening of a new subsidiary in Queensland. With its head office in Deggendorf, Germany, congatec is a supplier of industrial computer modules using the standard form factors Qseven, COM Express, XTX and ETX.
congatec’s products can be used in a variety of industries and applications, such as industrial automation, medical technology, automotive supplies, aerospace and transportation. Core knowledge and technical know-how includes unique extended BIOS features as well as comprehensive driver and board support packages.
Alvin Tan, formerly at Luminex Corporation, has been appointed as country manager for Australia and New Zealand. Tan sees a good fit and big potential for congatec in the gaming, agricultural equipment, traffic control and medical technology sectors of the Australian market.
Prior to the opening of the new subsidiary in Queensland, congatec had been selling into the Australian market through a network of resellers. Strong sales performance and an ongoing global expansion strategy led to the establishment of a direct sales presence.
