The electronic systems division of Tenix Defence will give $500,000 to the Federal Government from commercialising smart defence technologies last year.

The royalty payments stem from a partnership between the Defence Sceience and Technology Organisation, the Defence Signals Directorate and Tenix, which has already developed three research concepts for the technology market.

The results include the Interactive Link IT security devices , the Speakeasy encrypted communication system and Laser Airborne Depth Sounder seabed surveying technology.
