Demonstration of new LTE embedded module

M2M Connectivity

Wednesday, 22 April, 2015

Sierra Wireless and its distributor, M2M Connectivity, are demonstrating the soon-to-be-released AirPrime HL7549 LTE embedded module supporting B3 (1800 MHz), B7 (2600 MHz) and B28 (700 MHz). The demonstrations are taking place this week at CONNECT Expo and in May at CeBIT.

The device supports LTE Cat 4 aimed at improving network capacity, throughput, data speed and operational cost efficiency. In the growing Internet of Things (IoT) landscape, as more devices use cellular networks, LTE advancements in capacity, latency and throughput will be of benefit to M2M and IoT communications.

M2M Connectivity will be demonstrating the high speeds achievable by the HL7549, with possible peak download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and peak upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps. The demonstrations will be conducted at stand 24 at CONNECT Expo, being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, at the following times:

  • 21 April: 11.00-11.30 am and 2.30-3.00 pm
  • 22 April: 11.00-11.30 am and 2.30-3.00 pm

Demonstrations will also be conducted at the M2M/IoT Zone on stand C26 at CeBIT, to be held at Sydney Olympic Park, at the following times:

  • 5 May: 2.30-3.00 pm
  • 6 May: 11.00-11.30 am
  • 7 May: 2.30-3.00 pm
