E-commerce site for Asia
Avnet Express, part of Avnet, has launched an comprehensive e-commerce website in Asia. The site www.avnetexpress.com/asia is said to represent the first distributor website in Asia to offer a China payment capability.
Known as Avnet Express, Asia, the site provides design and purchasing executives at OEM and EMS firms with rapid access to inventory held across Asia. They can also enjoy online access to Avnet’s global component menu, which now includes more than four million items.
The site can be viewed in 13 currencies and nine languages, including simplified Chinese and Japanese, and payments can be settled via AliPay, UnionPay, Visa and MasterCard.
With a library of information on 140 different franchised ranges, it offers engineers a fast resource to search and check on availability and pricing.
The site also supports searches and ordering across different regions as well as worldwide, allowing users to buy products from much further afield if necessary.
