element14 has expanded its portfolio of tape and reel passives, discretes and connectors for electronics design and production, including 10,000 high-performance passives from global suppliers such as AVX, Epcos, Kemet, Panasonic and Vishay.

Contract manufacturers, CEMs and OEMs will benefit from the operational and cost savings using these products in full reel, according to the company. The ranges for use in electronics manufacturing and design are compatible for use with modern tape-fed placement units, ensuring efficient production runs.

“Customers who require more options in terms of full-reel packaging now have easy access to one of the most comprehensive portfolios,” said Marc Grange, Head of Product Marketing, element14 Asia-Pacific. “These products from industry-leading suppliers are available for easy review and order for fast dispatch from existing stock.”

Over 350 types of AVX MLCC and tantalum capacitors are available, including the X7R Dielectric ‘temperature stable’ ceramics. The Panasonic FK series of electrolytic capacitors features a low impedance and is 30-50% smaller than the FC series, and the Vishay CRCW series of thick film resistors is suitable for use in automotive and other high-power circuits.

Customers can review, compare and purchase from au.element14.com. The company offers a free-of-charge re-reeling service upon request, for quantities above 150 pieces, which allows customers the flexibility of deciding what quantity they would like on each reel. Over 52,000 surface mount components are available for delivery in a 180 mm reel, ready to pick and place, complete with leader and trailer tape
