IBM to cut 1,000 jobs

IBM is to cut just under 5%, or 1,000 jobs, of its workforce in its microelectronics division due to decreased demand for semiconductors.

Most of the cuts are to be in its largest locations (all in the US) in Burlington, Vermont; Endicott, New York and East Fishkill, New York.
