Lithium battery deal
NEC and GS Yuasa are to supply components for the lithium-ion battery field.
Initially, the companies aim to determine the conditions under which NEC will provide its lithium-ion battery electrodes to GS Yuasa by the end of October 2012. The companies then seek to expand their cooperation in the energy storage field through areas such as lithium-ion batteries for energy storage systems.
Both companies will capitalise on their experience in the mass production of lithium-ion batteries for motor vehicles to provide environmentally friendly products and technologies.
