NECA engaging support from industry

The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) has introduced an associate member program, sponsorship initiative that will provide opportunities for all levels of the electrical and communications industry to engage with the association.

Peter Glynn, chief executive officer of NECA said the initiative will open ways for suppliers, wholesalers, distributors and other companies working in the electrical and communications sector of industry to become involved with NECA and raise their profile among contractors Australia-wide.

"This is about both lifting the profile of NECA among all levels of the supply chain, while also giving suppliers more opportunities to engage with the electrical and communications contracting sector," Glynn said.

"The program enables suppliers to formalise involvement with NECA activities, especially the awards, and work in partnership on other events and networking opportunities."

Already part of the program are Platinum sponsors: Clipsal, Hagemeyer, MM Electrical Merchandising, Olex, PDL Electrical Products, Phoenix Contact/Rittal, Pierlite, Rexel Group Australia and Schneider Electric and Gold sponsors: Hager B&R and NHP.

"Platnium sponsors have been invited to participate in an advisory board which is working on communication protocols between themselves and NECA to ensure the ongoing success of the program," Glynn said.
