Network management system commissioned
An Asian conglomerate has commissioned Datacraft to set up and run an end-to-end network management solution. The three-year deal is the largest between the two companies to date.
Founded more than 100 years ago, the conglomerate is a Hong Kong-based group of companies with core businesses in export sourcing, distribution and retailing.
With 35,000 staff in 40 markets worldwide, its need for a reliable and dynamic network management solution was paramount.
The service comprises a number of components, including online, real-time network and IT systems management and uptime, a managed service offering that provides support, troubleshooting and resolution services for IT systems 24/7.
It will also involve the implementation of a Riverbed Cascade solution for enhanced network visibility, network resource analysis, anomalies detection and reporting.
The project will be rolled out in three phases following a two-month trial period. During phase one, Datacraft will take over the management of 100 major segment devices. Phase two will see the deployment of the Riverbed Cascade solution and phase three will involve using the Cascade solution to provide performance monitoring and follow-up services.
