Powertec appoints new network and RF engineer
Powertec Telecommunications has appointed Geoff Carroll as Network & RF Engineer with responsibility for project management on RF and microwave solutions and assisting tech support in these areas.
“Geoff comes with just the sort of extensive industry experience we need at Powertec,” said Scott Hampton, general manager, Powertec. “He joins our team at a critical point as the company increases the number of complex comms projects we do for large enterprises and will take on the project management role for a carrier-grade Wi-Fi rollout with a major supplier.”
Powertec is an Australian company that supplies large multinational companies, government departments, defence, emergency services, small to medium-sized businesses and individuals with hardware to save money on calls to mobiles and call diversion, mobile signal enhancement solutions and products for Wireless Local Loop. It is also the distributor in Australia, New Zealand and Canada of the Cel-Fi smart repeater device, the only device approved in Australia for connection to all the major mobile carrier networks, which dramatically improves phone signal reception in poor signal areas.
