RS Components and Allied sign distribution deal with ROHM
RS Components and Allied Electronics have signed an agreement with ROHM Semiconductor as authorised global distribution partners of the electronic component vendor.
RS and Allied hold a sizeable inventory of several hundred ROHM components, which includes discrete semiconductors, power management ICs, LEDs, display drivers, optical switches, video and audio processor circuits, and sensor devices.
These devices are extensively deployed in a wide array of automotive, telecommunication, computer and consumer applications.
Jonathan Boxall, global head of semiconductors at RS Components, commented, “Consolidating relationships with suppliers such as ROHM is an increasingly important consideration in our endeavour to sustain high levels of product availability for our customers, and to anticipate their future needs. The global demand for semiconductors continues to rise, so it is important that our offer reflects this and meets the needs of design engineers and buyers to source parts quickly and easily in this highly competitive market.”
“Sourcing and purchasing ICs for complex designs is a time-consuming task for engineers and buyers due to the vast range of devices we now take to market,” said Masaki Sakai, director of Euro-American sales at ROHM.
