RS Components partners with Betta Batteries
RS Components has boosted its battery portfolio by adding Lead Crystal batteries from new supplier partner Betta Batteries. Beginning with 12 V units from 7.2 to 55 Ah capacity, RS will market the Betta Batteries range worldwide, and will add further new products in the future.
Betta Batteries’ patent-protected Lead Crystal technology is said to enable full recovery from repeated deep discharging without risk to battery performance. High-current discharge ability ensures good performance in applications with high peak energy demand. The batteries are able to operate in temperatures down to -40°C, and can be safely recharged up to 40% faster than lead-acid batteries. Typical service lifetime is 18-20 years at 25°C, while minimal self discharge allows a shelf life of up to two years with no additional charging.
