Scitech appointed distributor for XIMEA industrial cameras
Scitech has announced its appointment as the authorised distributor for the XIMEA range of cameras in Australia and New Zealand.
For more than 20 years, XIMEA has designed smart, compact industrial cameras for machine vision applications in motion control, assembly, robotics, industrial inspection and process control, as well as cameras for security and defence applications. The company offers robust cameras with USB 3.0, USB 2.0, PCI Express and FireWire interfaces, as well as X-ray, hyperspectral and Thunderbolt technology-enabled cameras.
XIMEA’s cameras are said to be at the forefront of machine vision and imaging technologies, spearheading advancements in research which have resulted in product lines like USB3 vision cameras, X-ray cooled CCD cameras and subminiature 5 MP USB cameras. Other breakthroughs have included the first PCI Express camera, the USB 3.0 to CameraLink cable and, recently, the smallest hyperspectral cameras in the world, weighing only 5 g.
