Tektronix appoints Vicom as Australian distributor
Test, measurement and monitoring company Tektronix has appointed Vicom as a full portfolio distributor in Australia, covering a range of Tektronix and Keithley instrumentation. Vicom is the largest independent and Australian-owned provider of telecommunications test and measurement instrumentation, equipment service and calibration within the Australian and South West Pacific region.
Vicom’s expertise in such markets as wireless and cellular communications, fibre optics, data transmission, avionics, audio and broadcasting and general electronics design aligns closely with the Tektronix and Keithley portfolio. In addition to working directly with customers, Vicom also offers the convenience of an e-commerce site along with training, professional services and rental options.
“Tektronix and Keithley continually are raising the bar with innovative new products that will enable design engineers across this region to bring new products to market faster while helping to lower their overall instrumentation costs,” Chris Jones, general manager, Vicom Australia. “In particular, we’re seeing strong demand for MDO3000 mixed domain oscilloscopes that essentially give our customers a free spectrum analyser for the cost of an oscilloscope. RF is everywhere, and engineers need the unique time and frequency domain support of the MDO3000.”
