TETRA Congress returns to Europe
The international TETRA community will meet in Munich for its world congress (TWC) 26–29 May.
After the 2008 event in Hong Kong — which attracted over 2000 visitors from over 60 different countries — the congress returns to Europe for what is expected to be the largest TWC ever.
Over 2500 representatives of the public safety and security services, transport companies, oil and gas, military, manufacturing, utilities and other users of communications will join the TETRA Association and senior industry figures to discuss the latest developments and future requirements of TETRA.
The theme for this year's congress is TETRA: An Evolving Solution.
The conference will focus on how the technology is evolving to meet the needs of users. The sessions will examine topics including: the latest development in data applications and the first TEDS implementation; new business models to spread the benefits of TETRA and reduce costs; the development of the systems broadband; plus a new stream dedicated to using the technology with complementary technologies.
Presentations will feature representatives from public safety and security agencies; transport; oil and gas; utilities; manufacturing; mining; military; network operators; applications developers; ETSI and the TETRA Association.
Interactive features include audience voting where the delegates can have their say on key issues facing TETRA, discussion sessions where the audience set the questions, plus the chance for visitors to send videos of where they work to be played around the congress on TETRA TV.
