Honeywell Limitless non-contact switches

element14 has available the Limitless non-contact switches from Honeywell. Combining Micro Switch heavy-duty limit switches with wireless technology, the wireless switches can be used in top  or side sensing for applications requiring position sensing and presence/absence detection.  

The flexibility of the battery-operated wireless switches, combined with harsh-duty packaging for durability, contribute to increasing efficiencies and are said to reduce installation and maintenance costs compared to a wired switch. In remote monitoring applications where wiring or wire maintenance is not possible, the switches provide reliability and security for machines, equipment, OEMs and operators.

The series has up to a 305 m line-of-sight range when used with the Limitless wireless receiver and is able to network multiple switches (up to 16), providing even more flexibility and distance. It uses global licence-free 802.15.4 RF bands.
