The 610wi is an 802.11 b/g WLAN access point module in a pin-head-type package. Serial to WLAN can be implemented with any system that has a UART interface.

Development time is reduced because WLAN driver porting is not required and the module guarantees good stability as a result of independent operation.

The module provides ethernet-to-wireless bridging, enabling a wired network device to have a wireless communication interface. It also offers a serial interface for serial to wireless applications and offers an AP/station/gateway model.

The device offers a 54 Mbps data rate and a maximum 20 Mbps effective data transmission rate. The module includes a full-features network protocol stack and a built-in web server for configuration via a standard web browser.

The WIZ610wi-EVB allows full evaluation of the module via standard serial interface or ethernet connection.
