Acromag AP560A isolated CAN Bus interface module
Acromag AcroPack AP560A modules provide four independent CAN bus interface channels. Each channel has a Holt H13111 CAN controller with an ADM3053 transceiver. With high channel density and high-level isolation, the rugged CAN Bus module is RoHS compliant and suitable for use in a variety of challenging environments and applications, including avionics and aerospace; defence vehicles; and marine control and navigation systems.
The AcroPack product line updates the company’s Industry Pack I/O modules with a PCIe interface format. This tech-refresh design offers a compact size, low-cost I/O, the same functionality of the existing Industry Pack modules and a rugged form factor.
The modules measure 70 mm long, which is 19.05 mm longer than a full-length mini PCIe card. The board’s width is the same as an mPCIe board and uses the same mPCIe standard board hold down standoff and screw keep out areas. A down-facing 100 pin Samtec connector will mate with the carrier card; 50 of these signals are available as field I/O signals.
The module offers an effective solution for avionics and other applications implementing the CAN 2.0A/B specification. The controller is configurable to comply with both the ARINC 825 and CAN aerospace standards.
