Vishay has released high-intensity amber and yellow power SMD LEDs in the CLCC-2 flat ceramic package with driving currents of up to 400 mA.
The VLMK82 and VLMY82 offer low thermal resistance of 20 kW and high optical power from 5600 to 1400 mcd for thermal-sensitive applications and a service life of up to 50,000 h.
The devices are optimised for backlighting and illumination in motor vehicle and transport, consumer and general applications.
Using AllnGaP technology, the amber VLMK82 LEDs offer optical power from 7100 to 14,000 mcd and a typical luminous flux of 28,000 mlm.
The yellow VLMY82 devices provide optical power from 5600 to 11,200 mcd and a luminous flux of 26,000 mlm. Both LEDs feature optical efficiency of 40 lmW at 100 mA.
