Axiomtek has launched PICO840, an ultrasmall Pico-ITX embedded SBC utilising the latest quad-core Intel Atom processor and supporting DDR3L-1066/1333 MHz system memory up to 8 GB. The product is suitable for system integrators looking for a versatile and ultracompact single-board computer.

The industrial-grade Pico-ITX mainboard is built to withstand extreme temperature, ranging from -40 to +70°C. With good integration and power efficiency, the compact single-board computer enables system developers and OEMs to create small, light, quiet devices.

Rich I/O connections, including four high-speed USB 2.0 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports and two RS232/422/485 serial ports, are offered for flexible machine-to-machine connection. The 18-/24-bit dual-channel LVDS and VGA (or HDMI) are supported for playback of multimedia. In order to meet different kinds of the storage demands, the palm-sized embedded board comes with mSATA support and supports one SATA 3 Gbps connector.

The Pico-ITX embedded motherboard is designed for rugged, small-form-factor appliances. The product comes equipped with the AX93283 I/O board, which provides system integrators with flexible I/O choices to fulfil vertical application requirements.
