Bivar has launched the Orca series of super flux LEDs.
This is an expansion of the company’s high-power LEDs designed for standard printed circuit boards.
The series replaces the Mako family and enhances its capabilities with greater luminous intensity, higher power efficiency and additional lens configurations while maintaining its 7.6 mm square package form factor.
The family is available in the standard colours of red, green, blue, yellow and white and also includes three bi-colour combinations and RGB. The red and yellow Orcas are compatible with SAE and ECE colour requirements making them suitable for motor vehicle applications.
Lens geometries include dome, oval and flat to provide viewing angles of 30, 45 and 80° and a wide 160°. The operational life is up to 100,000 h when operated within specified limits.
