Brushed ironless DC motors

Monday, 27 April, 2009 | Supplied by: M Rutty & Co Pty Ltd

M Rutty has released the Portescap 35 mm GLT2R82 series of brushed ironless DC motor, featuring a carbon brush commutation method to deliver long life and efficiency.

The motor has a rotational spring that delivers constant spring force, which extends brush life and minimises sensitivity to vibration shocks.

The commutation method, coupled with a metallic front end and optional integrated EMC filter, make it suitable for rugged operation in semiconductor wafer handling and metrology, and industrial equipment applications. The power to size ratio is suitable for power handtool applications.

Three power motors with 150 W are available with a voltage of 24, 48 and 90. They have variable output speeds of around 6000 rpm.
