Electronic commutation is a feature of the brushless DC-servomotor series 2057.
The motor is fitted with a high-energy rare earth magnet to give a responsive mechanical time constant of 8 ms. The Faulhaber skew winding, in combination with the laminated stator, provides good heat dissipation and high overload capability.
Outside diameter is 20 mm and motor length, 57 mm; continuous output is 62 W; over 16 mNm continuous torque rating; speed up to 52,000 rpm; standard operating temperature range -30 to +125 °C.
Integrated digital or linear Hall sensors provide feedback to control electronics which allow true servo-motion velocity and position regulation.
The motor is optionally available with rear end shaft and in an autoclavable version. Complementing the motor are planetary gearheads, high-resolution encoders, drive electronics and motion controllers with RS232 and CAN interface.
