The compact Faulhaber motion controllers can be optionally operated via an RS232 or CAN interface.
The configuration of the electronics is based on a digital signal processor, which enables high performance as well as precise positioning and low speeds. The high degree of efficiency permits a continuous output current of up to 6 A.
Optimally coordinated with the control of brush and brushless DC motors, they feature accurate speed/torque regulation as well as precise positioning with a resolution of up to 1/3000 revolutions.
The inputs and outputs can be used for different purposes depending on the application and can be configured via the interface. As a printed circuit board version the controller can also be integrated into superordinate systems.
With a CAN interface and CANopen protocol, up to 127 drives can be network controlled.
A user interface and the next-generation ‘Motion Manager 3’ software are available.
