CompactPCI processor board

The CompactPCI processor board Kontron CP307-RS features enhanced serial ATA capabilities on the rear IO for enhanced storage, faster transmission rates and high data safety.

With four SATA 3.0 Gbps ports and high-performance RAID functions (0, 1, 5, 10), the device performs as a RAID controller for rugged environments.

Based on the standard CP307 3U CompactPCI series, the board doubles the SATA ports (CP307 2xSATA) to the backplane. In combination with the CP-RIO3-RS rear transition module, the latest board enables high-performance RAID 5 and 10 solutions without additional RAID controller boards.

The board feeds the demand for excessive disk space, storage bandwidth and data integrity.

It is available with Intel Core Duo or Intel Core 2 Duo processors. Integrated with the Mobile 945GM Express chipset and ICH7-R Southbridge, the CP307-RS achieves good performance-per-watt values in a 3U form factor.

The high-performance version of the CP307-RS features the Core 2 Duo 1.5 GHz low-voltage (L7400) processor; 667 MHz front side bus, up to 4 GB of DDR2-SDRAM with 10.6 Gbps memory bandwidth.

All the boards provide extensive communications interfaces including 2 x GbE. The graphics accelerator integrated into the 945GM ensures good 2D, 3D and video features for the VGA output.
