The Resolution T embeddable timing product enables companies to change the way they incorporate precise time into applications and solutions through a combination of low cost, accuracy, size and special features. The device employs new architecture — using general DSP-based GPS SW.
At a size of 66 x 32 x 9 mm, the Resolution T with 12 parallel channels driven by 3 to 5.5 VDC can provide 1 PPS GPS or UTC time output to 15 nanoseconds. It self-surveys, compensates for cable delays, monitors receiver integrity and reports on quantisation error.
The device is suitable for applications where cost and reliability are paramount, like network packet monitoring and QoS, electrical utility timing, traffic light synchronisation and other similar synchronisation and monitoring applications.
The device's low cost and accuracy means companies can afford to embed precise time in all locations — no more sharing central source time. It is field upgradeable with SW releases as new feature and performance specifications become available from Trimble's R&D activities.
